best place to buy aluminum sheetmetal

looking for some 5052 or 6061... i got some quotes from the vendors that usually supply our shop and it wasnt pretty... i think cagle said he paid like $100 for a sheet :dunno:
 
I got some from a race shop in Ttown, Daniel got it for me. It is like 70 or so for a painted sheet of .040

did you repaint it or was the finish that nice ? in the pics it looks like a nice paint job

No it is pre-painted aluminum, black on both sides. They have lots of colors and options in terms of colors on both sides and all that. Definately go pre-painted route if you can
 
Just about all dirt track shops sell that pre-painted aluminum.

thats what i hear.....just cant seem to find any dirt track shops around the Huntsville, AL area :wtflol:

we had a seco and i guess they shut down....i dont mind driving a lil bit
 
hey daniel there is a guy here in tha shoals that can probably beat most prices he specializes in dirt track but i know he was cheaper than anybody else on heims wes's dad is good friends with him give me a shout if you haven't found any yet he can more than likely get any kind of metal you want!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

LMS metal sales in Huntsville, AL is where I got the thicker aluminum 256-536-1521

Doug @ McCelroy Motorsports for the painted stuff (he also has gauges, fuel fittings, etc.) 256-710-1784 He is close to Wilson Lake.
