Take the threaded insert out the back of the stock pump the high pressure line screws into. Get a punch or something and knock the little copper bushing out of the center. Reinstall stock pump with high flow fitting and be amazed! :****: I think I drilled mine but I had the same setup with 39.5 iroks and after that I could turn the wheel with one finger on pavement. Works on GM's too.

cool ill try that. be better than havin to buy $300 pump thanks

You can convert to a saginaw tc style pump without having to buy the high dollar psc or trail gear ones.

There is several available that are already set up for remote res.

90 Pontiac sunbird is one application

would haveta build a bracket for it though i take it?

Just for the backside. The pump will bolt up to the front of the stock bracket.

You just gotta cut off the back of the stock bracket and make a new piece for the back and run bolts through it.

I'll post some pics when i get on the computer.

Here are some pics of my setup, it is a TG pump, but you could use any remote res TC pump.

You can't see it real well, but that is the stock toyota bracket with the back pump mounts cut off, and a new flat plate welded in to sandwich the pump in. I *think I used 5/16" bolts to thru bolt it.

1990 Pontiac Sunbird pump, the inlet on it is setup in the correct orientation.

1999 Corvette pump, inlet looks good on it too, but they usually cost 2x what the Sunbird pump costs

Here is something I'd like to try if I ever build up another yota or something with a 22re
Supposedly this TC pump is the most badass factory pump, it's from a WJ with a 4.7v8. They had hydraulic fans and the pump is ported for crazy flow, and the orientation of the stock integral reservior looks like it may work with a 22re. If you look at where the pressure fitting is you'll see what I'm talkin about. It also kinda looks like it would completely block access to the spark plugs/distributor...
