Ok I am going to run rears up front because it seems everybody is getting good flex with it.. I have a few questions on that as well..
1. Would I need a long travel driveline?
2. How far foward would I put the sas front bracket on the frame?
3. how much lift do these springs give?
4. Did you add any leaves to the pack or take any out?

Ok now on to the rears I want to know everybodies opinion on what they think the best swap in for used/cheap leaf springs.. buggy setups as well.. I dont want to hear marlin, tg, all pro, any of that. I am trying to do this on a budget and the same questions above for the rear springs as well..

Thanks for any help guys I have finally found something I will follow through on a build with.. As I get things done I will post up pics and all that..

63" chevies - work well but overrated
s-10's are good but you need to clamp them well to keep from bending as well as ford rangers.
wagoneers are a good choice, as are for f150's. there are a ton of different springs out there that you can use. all of the ones i said require you move the spring hanger forward. i know you said don't say any of the manufactured leaves, but honestly $200 for a pair of rear springs from trail gear is dirt cheap. the pain of breaking some used spring on the trail isnt worth saving a little bit of cash. hope this provides to be some food for thought.

ok here we go!
#1 driveline- what year is your truck?are you upgrading a solid axle,or doing a sas? when i did my SAS i had an 85 front driveline wouldnt work. would slip apart.when using rears upfront the offset center pin moves your front axle forward. i went square. i needed alot more travel.
#2 front hanger is recomended 3/4-1" forward
#3 you will get around 3"of lift, depending on how leaves are mixed, and shackle length.
#4 you have to add a couple leafs(need a donor set of springs) to the spring pack to run these up front. it took me awhile of messing around with different setups. to find the one i liked.
you will need at least 6 leafs, and clamp them. the way i have mine now is i took a stock rear set. took the overload and the bottom thick spring out leaving only the top 3springs that are clamped. then from donor springs i took 3 leaves, and cut them down to length so the staggered down. then clamped tight to top 3leaves. i made my clamps.
i dont know what shackles you have but you might need longer ones. heres a couple sample pics of my rig with rears upfront. they flex good but this will be my last set up over the last year i have made several, and broken several(using only 5leafs,research and asking around has lead me to 6 leafs) sets. so im gonna spend the money if these ones fail. hope this helps. good luck.

If you get 4runner rear springs there stiffer than truck ones or if you get a heavier duty pack from another company like rancho or something for the rear of the runner there will work too. I have some after market rears from a runner that have thicker leafs than stock and appear to be stiffer.
