Amanda (TK's step daughter) and Keith (her boyfriend) had a motorcycle wreck yesterday. They are both at UAB in the Trauma Unit. Keith had surgery yesterday to "cover the bone" and had pins put in his ankle. Both have severe road rash. Today they were taking Amanda to the burn unit to be bandaged. They hit gravel in a corner corrected and spilled as they came back onto the pavement at about 50 MPH. Nan and Joy are visiting them now, I will report more as I have information.

Oh man... road rash is THE worst pain to, it always gets infected. I hope they get to feeling better soon, glad they didnt get busted up any worse , coming off a bike is not easy on your person !

Man I used to love to ride a bike, but its just too dangerous for me. Hope they are ok, and getting better. Thats sucks.

My cousin, the one that won the Chubster, had a bad bike wreck a number of years ago and had road rash on his back. It was a very painful recovery for him.

thoughts and prayers going out....just saw this thread....

i have had 2 werecks on bikes....can definitely understand some of what they are going through....

Hmmm .. I musta missed the "real story" But nothing would surprise me honestly since i been around Ol boy plenty of times . laughing1

Im glad everyone is OK, hopefully it will open some eyes to situational awareness thumb.gif

IIRC they slid on some gravel or debris prolly off the shoulder or in an intersection? That scares me a lot. I have almost dumped it a few times this season already from sand remains from the winter.

Be safe and watch out for bikers please. KTHXBYE

nah bones that was the initial story, truth involves a wheelie, 100mph and a hayabusa... you do teh math.

  wheelies scare me. I rode a 'busa in Houston. BALLS! all I can say

don't wheelie with a chick on the back come awn!

I'm just glad there's no fatalities... Man that stuff is crazy, bike wrecks are no joke.

Yo TK best wishes for her speedy recovery. Hope that fool sells/loses his bike... If you can't NOT be a dumb-ass on a bike it's time to stop riding.
