im thinking of going from stock birfields to the eliminator kit, what do you guys think? have heard both good and bad about the kit so im just trying to get some input before i make a decision to either go with the eliminator kit or to go with some chromo inners and outters.

i was considering the birfield eliminator kit for a while....then i put down the pipe and ordered some longs:cheer:

just buy longfields. dont waste your time thinking about it you will be happy with your purchase i no i am.

try getting parts(not sure how easy it is) longs have a warinty.
there is a reason every toyota guy wants longs,i have beat the hell out of mine with no issues, other than ring and pinions.
read into both of them and im sure your mind will make its self up.
you ask all are opinions and everybody says longs, theres reason enough right there.
these are the stongest toyota axle out there, why chance it.

yea ill have to check into that on pirate 4x4. and yea i know i asked all opinions but i still have not seen anyone post anything bad about the eliminator kit. no one has posted anything to back what they say as far as performance issues for the kit. and thats what im looking for is what the draw backs are for the kit.

The kit works. But, the draw backs are parts availability and overall strength. If you go to the eliminator kit and you snap a joint or an axle, where are you going to get a spare? Special order for the axle at least. If you're running longs, you can toss a spare stock axle/birfield assembly back in for the mean time. Cant do that after you've gone eliminator. Just think, after you replace both your working stock axles with the Longfields, you already have spares for both axles and two spare birfs. You put the eliminator kit in, you have to buy MORE parts to get spares.

Imagine yourself stuck on the side of the trail with a snapped eliminator kit and you just need that little bit of 4WD to get you back out. 25 other Toyotas pass with spare stock birfs they're willing to give/sell you, but you cant use a single one because you went with the eliminator kit.

Why even go for the eliminator kit when all it does is make finding parts harder and give you less strength? Go buy some 30 spline Longfields, axles, and hub gears.

There are no drawback's, they are the proven strongest option out there. Using them allow's you to use all stock parts, no custom. Bobby Long is among the best of honoring warranty's asap. No drawback's, only advantages:awesomework:

I was considering the eliminator kit because of the price so I called a good friend of mine who works for mc. He talked me out of it and said save for the BL. Thats what their running:haha:

the draw back for the eliminator kit is the shits weak! and on top of having axles that can break you also ad a ujoint you can break. so unless you just want them for a dd/mall crawler truck so you can say you have birfield eliminator kit to feel cool go ahead and get it. other wise quit wasting your time looking into them and go buy bobby longfeild 30 spline cromo's.

I have been at bobbys and at the hammers with him and watched the eliminaters brake at 2/3 the strenght with bobbys u joint. the u joint was perfect. some fag ass eliminater runnin bitch stole the broken one during the night while every one was sleeping. he (loser) probally will warranty the eliminater cuz he needs a POS to back up the POS eliminaters he owns.:looser:

joints are for smoking:cool: not steering:puke:

joints are for smoking not steering

That's classic! :haha: :haha: :haha:

alright thanks guys now that i finally got some info on it all i have done some of my own research on pirate 4x4 and i will be going with the 30 spline longs and also be getting the hubs and everything else i will be needin
