bobbed 4runner

ok my shiat is broken again!! so while im waitng for my knuckle rebuild kit,birfield,and some other stuff i have gotten bored. think i want to bob the runner whats the best,and easiest way to do this on a 4runner. any pics would be great. thanks guys. and i have tried to search but my dial up sucks and im very impatient
i also picked up a co2 bottle. where can i get a regulator and hose for this cheap? i need to air up after the trails.

Has anyone seen/heard of a 4runner bobbed that still uses the origional tailgate and top in good working order? cutting them both so that the rear glass still rolls up and down would bee sweet.

I have been looking at doing this as well. i was thinking about sectioning out the part with the glass (2nd gen 4runner) and moving the taillight section up behind the rear seats (the actual tail lights would be on the flat bed). Do a flat bed but have part of the bed recessed so that I could drop the tailgate into that and the bed would be "flush". When it was pissing and the kids had their shower I would put up the tail gate and up goes the window..walla double Cab Hilux with a flat bed...any questions??

I cant get the link to work,

but on the marlincrawler site i searched bobbed 4runner and part way down it has a thread with 2 sweet ass bobbed runners they had the glass on the sides of the top cut down and everything still works rear gate and window

a coupe of pics of what i ended up doing. i used a pickup tailgate and framed it in.i also trimmed the wheel well, gonnna trim in front of the wheel also. we also have fabbed the corners to house the stock tail lights. overall i took out 20 inches of the body.and with the big trailer reciever and :rb: bumper i had now gone its gonna be nice will post pics later(dial up sucks!)

Damn, 20 inches out of the body!!! i got a question though; what are you gona do with the top? is that going to be cut down 20 inches as well or are you going to go with some kind of soft top??:beer:
