Got my body lift in the mail yesterday for my YJ got excited and went out and started to install it. I had already sprayed everything down with pb a couple of times so I thought it'd go relatively easy. Right off the bat broke off the two rear bolts on the rear cross member damn, continued working my way around got up to the first mount under the door and snap another bolt FML. Messed with that for a while before saying eff it and cut a hole in the floor board to attack the bolt from the top(weld that up later)

So I have 2 broken bolts and the underside bushings that the bolts go through are rotted away on every mount. I'm not sure how I'm going to get those bolts out, Is there a cheap fix to replacing/substituting the rubber bushings on the underside?

Sucks when the bolts break...often times when the bolts break, you're rebuilding the corners with new blind nuts...Likely gonna be the same for the grill mount...I've done a few, and it's way easier with the tub off, but still a PITA...As for the rubber body mounts, it's best to replace them if they're rotted away...Daystar makes a complete Poly kit, as does Energy Suspension.

get a toyota and enjoy the NON boxed and blind nuts.

Wait till you decide to remove your doors or windshield! haha!

Shoulda charged it to 4Wparts!

ordered new bushings wanted to veryify im doing this right as the directions dont mention using any of the old bushings. each mount should be the tub, lift puck, rubber bushing, frame mount, rubber bushing, washer and bolt is that correct?
