i have a dual master cylinder single pedal kit and its a 7/8 bore I'm running just your regular tons with 3/4 ton brakes front and rear disk, my brakes suck, bad they dont lock up at all it just slows down any ideals? my stuff is new pads and calibers and have been bleed many time still no better :wtflol:

Lay, it may just take some getting use to. I have not heard of many buggies that do well with manual brakes? Do you have a wilwood MC? If so they only offer 1 pedal ratio and that is probably the issue. CNC has a bunch better selection of MC's with various pedal ratios. The higher the pedal ratio, the better it will feel

ill try a power bleeder , no matt noone could get use to havin no brakes, i mean they suck bad, none of the tires lock up , it feels like the back brakes are working better than the front

wyatt is manual with disc front and rear. Super duty calipers front and 1/2 tons rear I put on. stop with ease and you can lock them up with some leg. I know exactly what you're going through lay, on the sheep I tried manual at first (JY **** I did) and I was pulling the wheel off, pushing out the back of the seat and shoving the pedal through the floor to get them to stop. You need to figure your ratios out and get power bled (bleed first).

I took those off of my buggy. I had the same set up with both being 7/8" bore. The race shop told me to run 7/8" front and 1" rear. I did that and it made it feel some better, but after swapping the 4.3 in for a 6.0, they would not respond fast enough. I am in the process of converting to the Corvette master cylender for a 1968 with manual disc front a rear. Once the bleeding issues are resolved I think I will be happy with them. I am adding a manual porportioning valve for better performance. I can slide the rear tires now but not the front yet

im gonna go with 1" bore front and rear "if someone will help me out, with some info" im tryin to get p to resond i know his brakes work good but i dont know what he is running . i was wondering if i need a porportioning valve but i dont know

The guy's at the race shop told me if I ran twin MC set up with the 7/8 front and 1" rear then I would not need a portportioning valve because I had already created the same effect by separating front and rear with two different bores. Now that I have gone to the single MC, I will have to do the PV.

What kind of lines are you running? You can have too much flex line. All SS Braided line will not work as good as 3/16th hardlind with just flex at the places where it is needed. If you have all flex line, changing the MC setup & pedal ratios wont get it to stop right either.

Plenty of people run all plastic brake line, with good results.

Go on Pirate and search.

Mine are both 3/4 or 7/8 bore can't remember. Pedal ratio is what you need, and proper bleeding of course. Wilwood only comes in one pedal ratio, 7:1.

CNC comes in multiple ratios, all the way up to 8:7:1

Also mine does have a proportioning valve, I have never messed with it just left it as is.

all my lines are metal besides where the links are, so i know what i have as pedals 7:1 like Matt says but what is the difference in between mine and everyone else running willwood besides the bore size, P is running dual pedal setup willwood his brakes are great, lock up and stop mine sucks, so i know the ratio should be OK, its proably going to be my bore size that I'm gonna have to change

I might have to look into one of those....I think it has been one of the reasons my brakes have sucked as well. how was the shipping time?

Jim, I just reread my post and I didn't see where i said anything about plastic lines.

Just saying, if plain plastic works for the whole brake system, I don't see flexible brake line not working.
