I know P broke a Dana 44 CTM, but I haven't seen many broke 60 CTMS. It is connected to Superior shafts and they seem to be fine.
Here is a picture that was sent to me.

I havent heard of many 60 CTM failures either.

Yes the 44 is stout, yes you can get away with alot ( more than the balljoints can handle ) yes it will still break molaugh

So heres the real questions, how old is the joint , how hard has it been ran ( what application of rig ) what kinda HP were and when did it happen ?

Nice to see that it was caught before the ears got destroyed 100%... a can see a little ear damage in the pic but it doesnt appear to be insanely critical.... (from the pic )

whos is it ?

This was in Bryan's buggy. It was greased every 2 rides. You all know his specs. Broke it at Wooly's for the RTM Shoot.
I believe the axle is fine and can still be used.

Hell ninja Bryan's buggy is all you had to say... He drives that think like it owes him ALOT of money... laughing1

Yeah but I wouldn't expect the CTM to break before the axle :dunno:

I would throw all the expectations out the window when Bryan is driving. those guys can and will break anything

I have broke one. Peckerwood at Tellico. It did not hurt either ear. Nick had a spare, we broke it down and fixed it on the trail while the group ate lunch. If you run CTMs carry a bolt to back the caps out, much easier than a hammer, which is what we did.

Correct. That is all I run due to the warranty.

X2 ORC is right in our neighborhood and Keith does you right on Yukon warranty ( ie... take one to him he hands you one of the shelf cause they keep stock ) Ive bought 2 sets of Yukons from Keith since I moved to AL just for that simple reason thumb.gif

I think it had something to do with the barometric pressure, cause my output on tcase broke a few minutes after that on the same hill. ;D
