anyone ever get one out thats broken off?

since it was so tight the metal just twisted right off so im thinking an easyout wont work too good?

if i drill it out it will probably mess up the seal area?

i have three chevy calipers with broken bleed screws in them im thinking there must be an easy way im not seeing?

they arent that expensive but wanting to know if there is a trick or special tool for this?

I've used an easyout successfully in the past. For this I prefer the square type rather than the screw type.

Penetrating oil and an easy out, if that don't work add heat to the process, if it's still stuck, it's a core:looser:

yeah i soaked all three with PB Blaster last night so ill attempt to get them out tonight. the first two i just replaced as it wasnt worth the effort but since i got three now ill give it a try.

im thinking the easyout will just muck it up worse as they were screwed down way too tight bet ill give it the good ol try.

thanks

I just replace the caliper---my time is not worth it.

x2...I can find better things to do...even if its just drink a beer...plus I figure if the bleeder screws are all fawked the calipers are probably pretty old and could use replacing anyways.

well i gave it about 20 minutes and gave up. drilling it out and using a pick to peel the threads was about the only way...

Not worth the effort! I just take the caliper loose and hold it so the banjo fitting is topmost, then stick a 2x4 where the pads would sit and bleed it through the banjo. If the bleeder broke off from rust, it's a core anyways.
