I need some help wiring my 4.3l in the buggy. Its been weeded out by T at S&N. I know there needs to be a wire that goes from the Batt to the starter, then one from the starter to coil. Do I run a wire form the Batt to the fuse box? How does the computer get powered? Am I over thinking this? T gave me like 3 or 4 pink wires and one purple. I think the purple is for the start button, I have a power switch that turns the ignition on. Is that the wire that powers everything? If I run a wire from the batt to the fuse box, then one from the fuse box to the ignition switch will that work? I just would like some guidance. Thanks.

I dont know how your harness works but I have a stand alone harness in my jeep for my ramjet and it only required a few wires to be connected to run the motor. One is the 12v main power, one was an ignition switched power, one was my fuel pump, one was my tach and the other was a ground. If that helps any

Just based on the questions you're asking it sounds like you have little to no wireing experience. You should not mess with it, just hire someone to do it complete.

All depends on what you want to do. If you want to have your fuse box hot all the time, then run a wire from the battery. If you want to have it only have power when the ignition is on, then wire it in series with your ignition switch.

Hey, wow! Thanks for all the great info... really. This should be a sticky!

Any time I can help!!!:redneck: Seriously, there are a few different ways it all could be wired up, but without seeing what you have going on first hand, it's kinda hard to figure out just what you have....

I'm no wire master, I had a friend draw most of it out for me, and I went from there. My Willy's has hot from the batt. to a kill switch, then from there 1. one down to starter. 2. one to the ignition. (only thing running off of ignition other than starter is an Hr. meter, and Voltmeter. 3. one wire to a fuse box for most other stuff. 4. A few wires with inline fuses for some extra stuff as my fuse box is too small. The winch is direct from the Battery. probably not the best idea, but no worries about enough juice. All heavy cable are welding cable 2 awg.

Personally, I would call 'T' and ask hiw wtfiu. Or hire someone to do the whole job.

Ok thanks guys... T is helping me out. I think I got it now. :redneck: Ill be sure to keep the Halon close when I start it. :redneck:
