Well, I got the info I basically needed for the 22re/22rte swap! I just need the motor! SO, any of you guys that live in the Portland area know of a good reliable place to get a 22re motor? I want one that carries a warranty! I only drive roughly 3,000 miles a year! I've seen a couple ads in the nickel ads for 22re's that are around $1,000 for the rebuild, and they come with a 5 year/70,000 mile warranty! I'd love to learn how to build an engine, but at this point of my life I don't feel that I could comfortably do this! But I'm willing to swap out motors and put the manifolds on! Any info would be appreciated!

i dont think engnbldr sell engines though (long/short blocks), just parts to rebuild/build them. i could be wrong though

My neighbor just pulled his 22re out for a rebuild. He went with a NAPA machine shop in Castle Rock, WA. I think it was going to be about $1100-$1200 for everything but pull/install. Said it was going to be the best deal he found, and about 1 week turnaround.

notstock - i didnt realize they sold engines...hmmmm. i either need to rebuild mine or just buy a new long block. Any idea what engn bldrs long blocks go for?
