Start small and with a reasonable budget. You can always upgrade later on in life if you make it that far. Not a dig, just the reality of 50% of marriages end in divorce. Some places will give you the 100% trade in for the life of your purchase. My wifes ring has one...if she decides she wants something different, we will go back and get something different without losing any money on the deal. As well, make an offer on her ring. If you pay full price, you have lost your mind. Sales are negotiable. Mention going to diamonds direct or I'll give xxx amount of dollars. I have saved a few hundred bucks with that method on purchases for my wife and daughters jewelry.
