C4 and C6 tranny

The c4 is worth more, Its shorter than a c6 and a little bit lighter..PM me if ya wanna sell the c6.

More than likely I'll be getting both trannys. The C4 doesn't have a bell housing though. And I haven't decided which tranny I want to use yet. Eventually I'll be doing a 5.0 with one of the trannys into the yota

Are you guys interested in one of the trannys?

Depends on what the rig is and what type of tranny tunnel room is has... and how badly it's gonna be beaten. C6s are beef and can take allot of abuse.. but they also take allot of room.

C4's are compact and can be built to take abuse.

well, that doens't help me decide which tranny to use. You've seen my rig, and tunnel room is pretty ease to deal with since the stock floor is gone.

use the c-4 the 6 is great for a big block or towing rig but it will rob about 30% more power than the 4 will due to the larger mass of the tranny itself. it also weighs more and takes more space due to the size differance.

WORD. My rig is set up to use a c6, I will have MUCH more motor to deal with that later. However at the start i wanted to use a c4 for the overall drivetrain length issue. Its shorter than a c6 to atlas length, even though it uses a long(5 inch?) adaptor. If i had the option to use either of them it would be a c4, Although its a bit more to mount a good t/c to..You will be happier with the shorter drivetrain length.

I agree with the above. I wanted to make sure you we'reen' t trying to move a fullsize with a C4.

Next is we need to determine what C4 ya got. Is it case fill or pan fill? Large or small bell? Post some pics of it.

Someone school me on what the c4 4x4 tranny's came in..I thought they were all in early broncos..What else were they in(if anything)

Edit: You can build a c4 to take big big horsepower.

Just use the C6 and never think about it again.

It's like trying to decide betwen using the Dana 44's or Dana 60's you have sitting in the garage (hypothetically sitting in your garage).

Would you really put 44's in if you had 60's?

So why would you use a C4 in place of a C6?
