I picked up a Chevy Crew Cab a little bit ago and I started a somewhat build thread on the K5 site...

Just thought I'd share some of it with you guys...

So, I'm gonna camo the crew cab and black out everything else...

The fender flairs are going on it and I'm planning on running the militarty 37s...

I'll be building a rack for the top and a set of half doors to run in the summer time...

My boys came up with the idea of painting it camo, so I said, "what the ****, let's run with it"...

When the boys started talking about painting it camo, the youngest one right away asked if we could get the "hoop things for the back and the camo tent to cover it like the Army trucks?"... I said, "Sure, why not."

My wife was listening to us and shacking her head... I looked at her and asked, "What, you don't like the idea of a camo tow rig???" As soon as it clicked in my head what I had just said there was no turning back...

I'm gonna get some sticker vinyl and have a windshield banner cut that reads "CAMO TOW"...

It's gonna be awesome...

And yes, I'm going down tomorrow and applying for custom plates that read "CAMOTOW"...:redneck:

It's an '88 with a tbi 454, t400, np205, 14ff (it had a d60 but I stole it for the trail rig and threw in a 8 lug d44 for now)...:fawkdancesmiley:

Here's what the "Bumble Bee" looked like when I got it home...

OK, I'm thinking about leaving the bottom half black and just doing camo on the top half...

I might rhyno line the bottom half and two strips down the middle of the hood...

Here's what I was thinking for the camo scheme...

Of course I'll have to have a Chevy bowtie in the rear window with the words "CAMO TOW" done in the same vinyl...

I can get that camo pattern in vinyl. They have a couple of different colors too. I'm pretty sure there is a winter pattern with the chicks too.

I threw some 38.5 tsl sx's on it today...

Think I'm gonna have to break out the saw-z-all...:redneck:

I might put the zero rates in and some longer shackles...

so whats the deal luey, did you sell the red Ford like you were talkin about?

I traded the ford for the crew cab...

Ford needed some work(that I didn't want to spend time or money on) and I wanted the 60 for the k5...:redneck:

Already have the 60 under the k5 with a lock right, just picked up some knuckles with high/rear steer arms...

Need to finish putting everything back together to build the mount for the double ended ram and finish up the gears and dics brakes on the 14b, then I'll be really close...

I put the 8 lug 44 that was under the k5 when you were over under the crew cab... It'll get crossover eventually... Need to find some 6" springs for it now...
