here is the back story, i run walker evans nitro Gs in my buggy, they are 14" bodies and i run them limited to about 10" of travel... i recently had a link failure and broke the ends off of both shafts... the reason i was wondering about the shaft length is that i run 325cc of oil and 325 psi in them... WE only recomends 300psi, but i fudged a little for a tad more ride height, so adding more oil/nitrogen is not an option, but i would like a little more ride height, maybe only an inch.... i am 100% satisfied w/ the performance of the shocks, but i was thinking that if the new shaft cant bottom out in the shock body, then theoretically could i run more psi to gain the extra ride height i want??? i was thinking to run more oil for the volume that the 14" shaft would have taken up... i dont know and if it cant work i will just put the 14" shafts back in it.... thanks....

Not real sure on the shocks but making new brackets for the shocks sounds easier. Seems like you could make axle tabs a bit longer and get the ride height and wouldnt have to ninja rig the shocks.

Making new brackets may give him more ride height but ti would result in his front axles eliminating his crankshaft on full compression. I could be wrong but I think he's trying to avoid that if at all posisble. ;)

i want to keep the same amount travel, just more ride height, but i cant add more oil or nitrogen to the shocks because they are at full capacity now...

Hell just order the 12" shafts and see. Last time I had to order a shaft it was only like 25 bucks. If it doesn't work send them back. I don't see why it wouldn't work.

i am confident that it will "work" i am curious if they are going to allow me to run more psi, or if the additional volume of nitrogen will give me more ride height...

It will probably work, you will just have some unused space in the body which means more volume for you. Sounds like a win-win
