So, I have an old friend that works for Snap-On tools. He googled me and found a bunch of articles I had written and mentioned back in June that he would like for me to test out some new tools they are producing and then write up an article for one of his publications.

I honestly forgot about it until this package showed up yesterday on my doorstep.

Check this **** out.

All for me to keep after I "test" it out and do a writeup.

Wonder what this stuff is worth?

Carry Bag
18v cordless sawzall
18v cordless drill w/case
Air Impact
18v cordless impact
4 batteries
charger
12v car charger

Holy crap...I am shocked.

He said he was shipping some different "samples" to me in a few weeks. :afro:

Nice, I want one of those Cordless impacts. They are badass.

I have a Milwaukee impact, Sawzall and Drill that need a good home now. They need a good fresh set of batteries and they will be perfect. Interested?

How does the Milwakee compare to the Snap on? Because all the Snap ons I have been around work awesome.
PM me a price

I have been very, very impressed with mine. Never a complaint. I just don't need it now.

I use it trailering all the time with flats. Jim and I knocked out a flat with it and a bottle jack last time we went to Phoenix in less than 5 min.

So far my favorite impacts and hammer drills are the 36V Dewalt and 18V Milwaukee Lithium Ion. I havent used the newest SnapOn cordless. We HAD a lot of other Dewalt (14.4-24V) stuff, but none of it lasted. The 36V has some serious power and lasts forever, but even as a Li Ion, it is still heavy.

Nolen, what are the suggested retail prices on the pieces you received?

damn, thats awesome!

PM me a price if Cole doesnt want them. I need some **** like that.

congrats on the sweeet score, we will want to see the article as well when you are done.

No clue, that is what I was wondering. I would think since it is Snap On this is over a grand worth of stuff.

Alot of the Snap On cordless tools are made in NC,I think my Snap On guy said Murphy (tellico) but I cannot verify. Sadly most of the other big names have gone over Seas. Too bad he didnt have a 7.2v mini driver for you to use. Great for pulling panels or skins off a buggy quickly. I am a huge tool freak. If I wasnt buying badass tools all the time my truck would be bangin, or I would have a buggy by now, but gotta have the right **** to work on anything.

By the way, the cordless impact with the battery are over 500 alone. All that **** would be closer to 1500
And Nolen, Does he get a discount, I need to do some X mas shopping..........for myself :flipoff1:

That is what he is sending next 8)

Nice, they are on special for christmas, thinking about getting one. Linky http://buy1.snapon.com/catalog/item.asp?P65=&tool=&item_ID=81864&group_ID=19915&store=snapon-store&dir=catalog

Tell him you want to try a new 3/8" drive dual 80 ratchet with a comfort grip handle. I bought one, now have about 5 dual 80 ratchets in all three drive flavors. Once you buy SO or MAC etc, you become addicted. skully

Nolen can you berify that these are not rebadged other brand type pieces ? I know MAC does that ALOT , just wondering if these were the equivalent as XXXXXXX or something like that.

This guy is a big-wig at Snap-On in Murphy, NC. It's all made there. He is really interested in the performance. I told him about all the Milualkee stuff and he wants me to side-by-side it.....

You are right about MAC they rebrand alot of things now, all their impacts and MAtco to are Ingersoll Rand. To my knowledge all the Snap ON cordless tools are made by Snap On in NC, if not there, the TN plant or the ones up north. I believe they also make their air impacts unlike the "other" guys. Other wise people would not pay 500 bones for a dewalt impact with snap on badge on it (unless they have too damn much money.

MACs pliers are re branded channel lock brand, any MAC air tool is IR (but quality just not worth the extra money for the name) Matcos screwdrivers are Whitte, MATCO is the worst though. Owned by Danaher corp.....same company makes Kobalt, NAPA, Craftsmen and Matco ****.....so with Matco you pay Snap on Prices for Craftsmen stuff. But MAC also hit the shitter when Stanley bought them...now they out source alot of stuff to Taiwan, even thought its the times...because even Snap On has taiwanese tools now, hell my T handles are made in spain (random) Yes I am on tool forums and have no life molaugh
