I am trying to put my toyota axles in my zook on the cheap and was wondering if anyone local makes or could make some spring mounts for a yota axle and YJ springs? I am looking for non u-bolt style mounts. This way it would be easier to clear the front diff. I was also thinking about welding in a plat on top of the stock yota mount to let the YJ springs sit where they need to. And use bolts by the diff and the other three spots would be U-bolts. Do you think this would be strong enough? I would use 1/4" plat to do it and just buy new rear mounts. Any help would be great:awesomework:

U bolt less perches are refuckingtarded and the people you are wheeling with when they collapse and rip a hole in your housing will hate you. Just get a u bolt flip or go scour a junk yard with a measuring tape and come up with one that way...

The reason for the non u-bolt idea was cause of diff clearance when moving the spring mount in 3/8th if an inch. I am not all that big on them myself.

Pm heading your way. :awesomework:

In that spot I get it but in the rear and on the other side of the front axle it's just a bad idea... I've watched reinforced allpro mounts rip right the fawk off a couple times. I guess I just like the idea of a trapped axle that can't go anywhere and for that I'll lose that 5/8" of clearance under the housing. :D

If engineered correctly an U-boltless setup can give you no problems. I did it about 8 or 9 years ago and it worked great and to this day the housing is still in use.

Yup that is the only spot I was thinking of doing the other side of the plat would be a u-bolt as well as the rear. :awesomework:
