Cherokee Shifter Linkage

Does the linkage from the shifter to the automatic transmission need to be messed with when doing a 1" transfer case drop on a jeep Cherokee?

does the shifter that engages the 4wd need to be messed with? Or do you simpy just lower the transfer case 1" and thats all you have to do?

They do make a bracket to correct it, I have installed probably 200 t case lowering kit's with lift's, and only installed one or two shifter bracket's.

Well I guess you could say it will make it right, if you don't use one, the shifter pivot point will be at a slight angle (or bind) it will still work fine, but the relocation bracket will make it factory again.
