Chevy pickup coil

'95 chevy 3500 pickup 454tbi
How would I remove the pickup coil from the dist.?

Do I have to remove the distributor

also is this a part that auto part stores carry or dealer item
I have not tested my Pup coil but the white wire is split and I am having a bad miss under load at low RPMs

I cant think of any GM pickup coils (inside the dist) that dont require pulling the gear and shaft

I worked on a 1995 S10 Blazer one time that had the CEL on (OBD2) "due to the dist gear being installed 180* off",
((that one sucked to figure out)).
