Chevy Suburban Questions

My wife has her heart set on a 02 suburban. I like it but it has 108,000 on it. I would rather buy new but like i said the wife has her heart set on it. I want to know what is the common problems with these? how many more miles can i expect out of it before i have to replace the engine and tranny? any other info would be great in making this decision.

my first suburban 87 went 279K before the body rusted off, one rebuilt 700R4.

the current 96 suburban has 176K and runs perfect. original tranny.
