Every year over Memorial Weekend Region 6 does Christmas Valley Dunes. BLM project on Sat morning, region meeting and potluck in the afternoon. Poker Run in the dunes on Sun., This funds a poster program for 5th grade students in area schools. They design a poster on a given theme, and BLM puts the winners on trash bags for the next year.
Around 5000 acres of sand to play on and no where as crowded as coast sand. Dry camp 20 miles from any services. Drop me a line for directions if you can make it.
