I'm with Matt here, Not sure how much RAM your running, I know when I got Adobe Premiere, it suggested 2g's of RAM. I just went from 512mb to a little over a 1G and it has made a noticeable difference in speed on the machine.I've also heard from a few people and reading around that a mac is a little better when doing video and such. But you should be able to upgrade your current machine for less than $100, your not wanting to go spend the cash on a brand new one.
