Before I make a bigger headache for myself I got a question.

I'm planning on converting my jeep to an auto. Is there a difference in crank shafts from an stick to an auto? I'm pretty sure thier the same. But I want to make sure. Because if I have to swap cranks. I might as well just keep it a stick. Or sell my stroker and start with a new motor.

Same, other than the pilot bushing

Thats what brought up my concern. I wasn't sure if an Automatic crank had the pilot bearing or not.

I just jumped on CSKproshop and checked. There isn;t an option for auto/stick.

Thanks guys for the quick replies. Now hopefully this buyer shows up today and my auto is in before the end of next weekend.

Did you ever follow up on the CL listing I posted up for you?

What're you planning for a shifter?

Yeh dude flaked out.

Shifter is still in the planning stage. Trying to find a good deal on an aftermarket one somewhere.

Keep your eyes open for a wrecking yard factory shifter and cable also. Might try Olympic 4x4 up in Snohomish, 800-752-9979, as they're a Jeep only wrecking yard (only dedicated Heep wrecking yard locally).

I also found a Jeep wrecking yard near Spokane for some stuff I needed once, but can't remember the name.

I wonder if I'm going to have to get a new starter. I think the TF727 starter mounts on the drivers side. :eeek:
