Got me an oilburner. 94 ford extended cab with the 7.3 IDI Turbo. Seems like a cheap simple rig to fix, some new exhaust and a few tweaks she'll be good to go.

How is the cost of diesel up there compared to gasoline?different one. This one was just 5 minutes from my house. Been reading up on it, stock it has 25 less horse than a powerstrock and 25 or so less torque. Ditching the restriced turbo housing and some new exhaust will get me a good chunk above a stock powerstroke, then a home fab intercooler using one of a new powerstroke or some turbo ricer IC will get me a bit more.
But as is she is much nicer than the old chevy gasser :cheer:
i was doing some reading yesterday and i think you can tweak the fuel pump on those. from what i read they choked them out so's not to compete with the new PSD motors hp/ torque rating. good luck man.
I read something about tweaking the fuel pumps too.
can you post a link to where you read that?
I'm in no position $ to repipe till winter, but want to make sure I got all my info and basis covered so the project goes quick.
you pain in the ass I thought you posted a link to the picture.. who the F would want to join a Ford site? :haha:

An Intercooler won't make more power for you. It will let you make more power at safer EGT temps but by itself it won't make more power. In fact, you might lose a little boost pressure from the turbo with the extra volume running it through an IC. First step if you plan on towing and especially if you want to turn it up is to get an EGT gauge so you don't melt down the motor.
Yep gauges are on order.
