CRAWL2 Media LLC announces acquisition of CRAWL Magazine title; resumption of publishing
slated for Fall 2009
Montesano, WA, June 29, 2009 â€" CRAWL2 Media, LLC, owner of recently acquired CRAWL
Magazine, the leading hardcore off-road publication in North America, today announced its
intent to resume publishing with its first issue this Fall, 2009.
“I’m extremely excited, as well as humbled, by the wide range of support over the last several
months,” said John Herrick, publisher of the magazine. “It’s obvious that CRAWL has a special
place with the hardcore off-roader and bringing it back has been a labor of love. My goal is to
build long term relationships, based on trust, with our vendors, advertisers and readers.”
Ian Johnson, host of Spike TV’s weekly Xtreme 4x4 program, has become a part of the
ownership team running CRAWL2 Media. Larry Nickell brings his deep business background to
the group as a partner and associate publisher. Brandon Foster, the award winning
photographer, will act as creative consultant.
For over 3 years, CRAWL has set the standard for creative writing and stunning photography.
The new ownership team will continue that focus while bringing sustainable business direction
to this independent publishing voice.

I don't blame you. Trust me, there's nobody that wants thier money back from CRAWL more than me. $20 subscription doesn't come close to the four months work unpaid I got. Water under the bridge now though...

ALREADY SENT IN MY MONEY :dblthumb:

X2 i bought the mag in october and still waiting i will just buy an issue at a time now but enjoyed it while it lasted

DAMN RIGHT I will get another subscription ,I had CRAWL for 2 years and let all the other 4wd mags RUN OUT !

I got tired of ALL the FREAKIN DAMN JK articles in the other mags..........

I guess what I,m tryin to say ,is that over the past couple of years the sport has got so HARD CORE and the other mags just DID NOT keep up,

and THEN when CRAWL came along I would get those other mags out of my mail box and be like...........DAMN THIS IS BORING........... :****:

WELL............all except for JP............and then they got rid off BREE.............SO I DROPPED THEM TOO......... :flipoff1:

I got Peterson's when I was 15 years old. Payed 2 years and they have been sending me issues since then. 8 years of free mags, and I still chunk um soon as I breeze threw it.

Petersen's is a staple in this industry for sure. I actually got a shot at working for them earlier this year, sent in a basic article with pics to give them a feel of what I can do and they told me they weren't interested in that kind of thing. I sent in Ron McCracken's new Jeep that Wide Open Design built and they told me they were only interested in average joe type rigs. :dunno:

That is their market, look at the rigs they build for the mag. They are very focused on dual purpose rigs and it correlates with what their known for, the Ultimate Adventure. Definately a dual purpose trail rig kinda mag and not so much turn key hotrods.

For sure. Some people want to relate to the mag and see rigs in there like thier own. I however do not, I want to see the newest, greatest, most insane stuff in the world. For some reason the offroad community in general is different and wants to see "average joe" stuff, there are not many other media sources out there like that. You don't really see a People, or a Time magazine dedicated to the average person, going to work, cooking thier own meal, and watching TV. I don't get it...

HELL , I started out as an AVERAGE JOE bout 12 years ago in the off road scene..........

BONE STOCK ZUKI , 235-75 MUD & SNOW,S...........& those mags were FINE then.
