Well its that time for some maintenance and the first time doing my CTM joints. Im at work right now so Im looking online for the proper tip for these style Zerks for my grease gun. Heres a pic of the tip. Would schucks, autozone carry this tip for the ctm zerks? what kind of grease should I be using?

Napa sells an adapter that converts a regular zerk fitting to a needle type fitting. would think shucks would sell it too.

you can get them at just about any autoparts store.

I've bought a few for friends that lost thiers.

but thats the wrong grease.

get it from Randies RP

or you can get the stuff they use on Drill pipes (copper compound)

Randys wants 22 bucks for there "super high pressure joint grease" $22 bucks for 4 oz is what the parts guys quoted me....... ctm's website show them using "pure power grease". whats is everyone using for grease for their CTM's

there is a reason its so expensive. It copper.

and it needs to be, or aluminium or lead.. but lead (best-o-life) is no longer available.

There are NO bearings in the u-joints. the grease acts as a bearing. If its too thin it will just push out and make metal on metal and then bye bye u-joint.

There is a pure power dealer in Factoria. I think a large tube of it was 8 bucks.
