What do I measure? Overall length or to the center of the ujoint caps, etc.? Also what is standard length Chevy and Ford inners and outers, it may not even be custom length. It is the long side. Found a little surprise when I pulled them tonight...

10-4. Any idea if these lengths are custom or fit something off the shelf? Inner 30.75", Outer 12 1/8"

Chevy long inner 351/8"
chevy short inner 17 7/8
These are not to the 16th but are fairly close. Your outer stubs should be same as stock.Ford /Chevy

you have a chebby front? looks to be in your avatar, but it could be side swapped HP like wyatt (inverse). I have a ford and chebby long side out laying there, so tell me what you need if brad didn't get it.
normally center of joint to inside of side gear (or end of spline)

Kelly it is a Dynatrac Pro Rock Front, appears to be custom shafts from Brad's measurements. It is Pass Drop HP and I need a new long side.

P, splines were twisted up nice, shafts were Spicers and the ears have a good bit of play in them (i.e the u-joints were too fawkin easy to put in :-X).

custom length spicer shafts? hold on. I'l lmeasure mine
nevermind, we need someone to look up the measurement in the 60 bible for a 78/9 ford HP. my ford shaft is the super long super short. no, they aren't chevy, but they might be early ford

Yeah Dynatrac builds stock **** to custom length and then charge your more to upgrade to molly.

Call Stan at Branik. He has killer Alloy USA deals and he will tell you the measurements you need.

Are you going to change the Ujoints for Longs o CTMs?

I have CTM's already and the pass side has brand new chromo's in it. I will call them and check prices.

Kelly, 60 bible says the 78-79 ford long side is 34.56 and the stub is 11.4. The stock chevy stub is lited at 12" which means the outer is stock chevy but the inner appears to be custom at 30.75".

Just passing info along, AlloyUSA is on complete backorder. They basically don't have any of the products they make in stock. How the **** do you let that happen? Fawkin retarded this industry is. They are say June 15th, but they also said April 15th and that came and went with no product.

I've been trying to get some alloy stubs for months... Finally just had to say Fawk it and go w/ yukons...
that's ridiculous a company can be that far behind....

I am gonna get Yukons, chevy outer and blank inner. Have Branik cut and spline the inner, that is if he will ever answer his phone. Just get a busy tone all day...

I've been waiting on stubs since first of the year. The problem their having is getting the right metal in. Or atleast thats the story I was told. I myself will not go with yukons, they will be my last resort. Hell I'll order superior or some 300 stubs if I have to before I go yukon. I will go as far as whittling a stub out of apiece of oak before I go with yukons.

I hope these stubs suface I may have to go yukons. :'(

Matt, if you get the Yukon junk, Branik is working a deal with a very reputable US company that makes their shafts here in the US. I don;'t know how close Stan is to this deal, but he said he will be changing out all of the Yukon and Alloy USA stuff for this new product in their rigs as soon as they land it.

Ask him. I don't know if the cat is out of the bag on this so just ask.
