Darryl Jones and crew over at Custom Tinting and Off-Road in Columbia, TN just finished their newest rig, appropriately named "Plow Boy", built for Richie Keith. The idea for this rig was to incorporate one of the biggest aspects of Richie's life, farming. He owns Keith Farms and is actively out there in the fields working, and one of the most important tools he has are his tractors. John Deere was the inspiration for his new rock rig, because Richie has at least four Deeres already on his farm.
The rig runs a Dart small block 454, pushing out 755HP and over 700 f/lbs of torque. Transmission is a PTC TH400, and a 4.3 Atlas case. With the massive horsepower the axles had to be beef. 14 bolts front and rear, with 40 spline ARBs and 40 spline RCV shafts all around.
The little details make rigs like this impressive. The Deere style logo in the rear upper link mount was hand cut with a plasma, all the graphics were hand painted, etc etc.
The chassis and all the custom parts were built in house at Custom Tinting and Off-Road, but Richie and many of his friends worked hard on this build before it rolled out of the shop and was unveiled last week.
