got my set of tsl and really like the way the tn boys cut em. (ie: the new caddi buggy) read on pirate they did this with a sawzall, is this correct? if so any tips or tricks? I know they were saying it was taking like a couple hours just to do one ??? thanks

I think they use a Groover and a SawZall. I think they have around 8 hours in each tire.

THey are also using a 4" grinding wheel. I have heard anywhere from 8-10 hours per tire and 35 pounds of rubber gone per tire. pepper.gif

are they using the grinding wheel at the end to smooth it out? I would think the sawzall would leave it kinda rough but what do i know :dunno:

I would like to cut mine this way to but **** 8-10 hours per tire

Yah, they are using it as a finishing tool. Hope you like the smell of burnt rubba.

I always figured they cleaned them up with a tire grinding disk?

If BFG made a Red Label 44", we wouldn't need to cut anything. Cole, get to work on this stat. :flipoff1:

And everyone would have to run built as rockwells - Damn I bet a 44 Red would grenade just about anything

I think you take a sawzall blade and sharpen it like a knife blade . I watched a guy do it to some boggers. It seemed to work pretty well.

are they using the "butter knife" wood blade first to get the big chunks out then the groover?
8 hours??

Real Easy for me! I just locked my ole' lady in the basement with her fingernail clippers and reminded
her not to make me tell her twice. ;D

I cut my toyos with a sharpened sawzall blade and then cleaned them up with a 4" twisted wire wheel. Each tire takes about 3 hours.

I'm defenitaly not a pro at this but I have done some cutting on my TSL's. Noah told me to watch a youtube video on it, and I took a benzomatic torch and heated the lugs up or use a propane torch, then used an el cheepo tire iron and they cut like butter. Take your time and they look pretty good. Still takes alot of time and will wear your a out. But not alot of skill involved. Just mark where your cuts will be. By the way those Toyo's look good thumb.gif
