Cyber truck

I can't help but think we're being "Punk'd" by Elon. Like a TRUE reveal is gonna be later where all the body panels just fall off and reveal something a little more...."not so drawn by a 10 year old" look.

Most people don't like change....so who knows, this may be the buzz they're wanting to get. Hell...crybaby Mustang fan boiz are bitchin bout them turning the Mustang into an electric SUV.

Hell....400+hp, 600+ tq and AWD......i'd drive it!. The Tesla truck though...that Fiero Lambo lookin' body kit is a little hard to accept.

So I was looking at them. I'm assuming that the 500+ mile range, is not during heavy towing. I'm curious as to how much the range is affected by the amount you are towing(essentially mpg or miles per amp?)

It's supposed to be bullet proof is what I saw. I dont know if it's true or not I have spent 0 time doing research.... but if that's true that would be a cool truck for the big igloo

LOL....the Tesla Armor glass is NOT.

Epic fail on the unveiling when dude tossed a round metal ball at both side windows.....POW!

"...well...at least it didn't go all the way through" LMAO.

Check the video out. Tony is right. Epic fail. Pretty dang funny though.

The glass was definitely a epic fail, don't see the point in bullet proof glass but whatever, I think it's a pretty cool truck.
I can see the motor and batteries getting hot towing at max capacity in heat. They got some time to work the kinks out. I'm thinking about plopping a hundo down to reserve one

Winner!!

I like the idea, but damn they couldn't have made it less ugly.

it is all I see on my Facebook feed though, so I guess they've made their point. That performance at that price point is worth considering

Based on some of the various info from the Truck Show Podcast, estimates are 40-50% battery loss when towing at max capacity. But that's the estimate on normal roads/towing not Colorado mountain passes etc.

@ridered3 ok. So let's say you buy one. Charge it up. Hookup and haul from Nashville to hawk pride. How the crap do you charge it to get home? Just cross your fingers that everywhere has a 220 to plug into and you've got 12 spare hours to charge your truck?

Itll take time...early electric buyers are tackling the convenience headaches for everyone.

Imagine off road parks begin to get tax breaks and reimbursements when providing charging stations in place of RV hook ups.

Itll happen. Remember 75" TVs being like 5 grand? 10 years passed and now they're at Walmart for like 700 bucks.

What Tony said /\
Look at the advancements in lithium battery charging and capacity in the last decade. If they can hit the market with sufficient pulling power, I think the charging and range headaches will go away.

Tesla is just the company to get this electric thing going - once the big three pissing match is on it will be a matter of which one to buy not if.

Do you think farmers driving Cummins dodges in the early 90s ever expected to see 1000ft/lb torque competition among the big three?
