I'm running a late 70's 44 under my sammy with 33's and after 3 years I'm getting some play out of them. This seems a little soon if you ask me,they are Dana Spicer ball joints from Randy's R&P.Are these supposed to be the best ones?

Spicers have notoriously been the longest lasting, but have heard their quality may have suffered some as of recent yrs...
Moog's supposed to be right up there...

Not sure how different they are from the ball joints on a JK D44, but we have issues with them going bad quickly. Poly Performance offers some that are spendy but supposedly last a lot longer.

I've been running Moog's in mine with 39.5" and they are holding up.

I saw the ones from Poly performance and they said they were the super duty Dana Spicer ball joints.I'm wondering if they are different than the ones I got from Randy's.

The ones you speak of are for the late model 44's,it would be nice if they had those for the early models.

If anybody mentions ballistic fabrication in this thread (boardboy :flipoff: ) I will hunt you down and punch you in the throat.

Moogs held up well for me. But if you want to drop the coin this looks like a great setup

if your ball joints have no grease fittings that you got from randy's,then they should be the same ones thate crane is selling part #706116x.

steve call randy's and get the part number of there spicer ball joints and compare it to the crane #

you know how my spicers have been holding up.

3 years is short term on a wheeler with knobbies?

Sounds like they lasted pretty good.

Any street truck on 36s will eat a set of BJ and TRE about every two years with just street driving.

I dont think your going to get any better BJs than that.

If you use your truck alot, 3-4 years don't sound extremely short. A buddy had a jeep that ate em once a year. Always sumthin wrong with the front end.:looser:

I think your numbers are a little off.

I would only get 2 years out of my spicers when I had a 44.. 3 runs on moogs :haha:

I'm hoping they will have these soon because I can think of a lot more things to do besides changing ball joints:puke:
