is there anything "adjustable" i need to be aware of, i realized i don't have a manual for installing these dang things and my tools showed up today... are they pretty self explanitory... just get them out and push them in???

quick help would be awesome as in a matter of an hour or so i should be at the removal of said ball joints...:corn: :corn: :corn: i might even post pics of the mess if ya'll want.:redneck:

No adjustments just push them out and push new ones in. Dont mess with your tie-rods or you'll need an alignment.

No adjustments are nessecary. And unless you have the D30 kit for your Ball joint press, it is a PITA to install the top one.

I usually use the press to remove both ball joints, install the bottom one with the press, and beat the top one in with a BFH.

It took you a month and a half to get a ball joint tool?

I pounded mine in with a BFH. Best to double up on the jack stands and make sure the wheel chocks are firmly in place so as to prevent scaring the bejeezus out of yourself.

actually only a week:fawkdancesmiley:

but ya, it was actually really easy on taking the mout with the tool and then putting the top one in, the bottom was a bitch cus the cups kept sliding off, so we (84toyota4x4 and his cousin) came up with some clever ideas and got it in, had to ratchet strap the top cup to hold it in place and tap with a hammer a few times as it went up and in:awesomework: except the ball joint tool lower cup that goes around the ball joint is slightly too big, which cause the major problem, and would slide off one side and i was afraid of it breaking the cup:looser:

but all in all one side is done, i still have a few things i want to do before i put EVERYTHING back together, like a new axle u-joint, lug studs, and my new adapter thats coming soon...

Man, that was fun. Although, Im STILL freezing after being out there. I drove all the way home with the heat blasting, and Im still iced over.

hey, don't be diggin' on the TTB, what do you have under your front end? asshole:redneck:

What are you talking about, Aaron??? I sure as hell don't have TTB! I just think it's funny, cuz in the BII's I have driven, they had the 27 spline D30 TTB.... The later models may have D44?

So, suck on that!
