Just wondering if any of the HD rear output kits are better than the other? I broke mine last week and planning to upgrade.

I broke mine last weekend at Windrock and was advised to upgrade to JD or AA 32 spine output. I haven't started researching either of these yet but both were highly suggested.

Once you go to 32 spline outputs front and rear they aren't what breaks! gears and case are next! Sorry

I've wheeled with the stock stuff for almost a year now. Granted, the red labels were added about 6 months ago (WINTER TIME) and this was the 2nd trip out with them really. I have 4:1 gears too in this case. Do those, along with just the rear HD output, stand a chance of holding up or do I just need to start saving for an atlas?

I'm just running a stock 4.0 motor

If your not hard on it it may hold for a while but will eventually break. I would save the money of upgrading the 300 and spend it on an atlas. I had one 32 outputs tried 4.0 gears they broke the fastest but I don't remember the brand? Broke the case twice it was behind a manual and 5.0

Re:

So far so good with mine its got the Teraflex 4 to 1. 32 spline outputs front and rear with a v8 in front of it. I don't run sticky tires but I run the 43 inch SXs and I try to be as easy as I can on it. By easy I mean that I don't sit there and let it bounce up and down but I don't mind to rip on the throttle a few times to get me through something.

I imagine those bounces are what really rips the case apart on them.

Save up for the atlas..... I destroyed several 300s with a v8 and stickies.

I used an 32 spline AA rear output worked great 4 rides then broke case in half. Worn 42 tsl an leaf springs mild built V8. I'd say 205 or atlas

I'm in a tough spot. Don't have the cash for an Atlas right now. Plus, I am really wanting to switch from manual trans to auto and I'd PREFER to do it all at once.

I hate to spend the money on the HD output for the 300, but then again, I hate to drive 3 or 4 hours from Indiana and break another output next month. Then I'm out all my travel money plus I don't get to wheel.

Some of you and some others I know had good luck with the HD version, others obviously haven't. So, I'm not sure what to do. Thanks for all the feedback regardless!

To make it even worse on me from a work standpoint......my trail repair output I currently have on it has a leaking seal. So I have to pull the case again and change that seal. I really hate to do all that and go back stock, but hate to spend money on the HD and it not hold up.

I hate this freaking hobby/addiction sometimes!!!

Do not waste any money on dana 300 upgrades, It will not hold up. You will about the same money in it as an atlas before you know it. Just patch up the dana to ride and get an atlas.
