Do you need a case spreader to get the carrier out? I have this thing all torn apart and cant get the carrier to come out. :booo:

No, delete this post before you get flamed like i did. Use two pry bars, maybe a friend and don't be a puss:awesomework:

2 pry bars, that's all I used.

You umm, did, well, take the caps off... right? :flipoff:

just wedge both front tires between a couple of trees them have a friend hook his winch to the middle of your diff housing and pull it into a bannana, it should come right out.:redneck:

nevermind I got it. I took a lunch break, got re-energized. But I think I need a specail tool to pull the inner seals out. :eeek: or maybe some more food.

nope.. no special tool to get the seals out... there are a few ways to do it...

one is with something like a pry bar.. stick it in the seal area and use it to pry out the seal.. may have to tap with a hammer (the prybar that is)

the other way is to use a long wooden dowel (like a closet rod) and just insert from the wheel side to the seal at the opposite end and tap away...

works pretty well actually, it is usually how I get them out, quick and simple.
