Ok, so I am working on my Dana 44, the Chromoly axles won't fit through the knuckle, will it cause any problems If I clearance the knuckle a little? Probably a dumb question, but I'd rather ask than run into problems. :D

Mine were so tight I used a rubber mallet to pound then in. Some just clearance them.

if you dont wqant to go through the hassle of finding replacements.. and then replacing them...

I would just clearance them... luckily I didn't have to deal with it with mine, but I have clearanced some on others.

I had to grind on the yokes a bit to fit mine in. I don't recommend grinding out the knuckle as the tight fit for the spindle helps to keep from sheering bolts and loosing your tire when you land hard.
