inner splines are smaller on a 10bolt 27 vs 30 spline. after ten years of using up every d44 shaft in my area and all the wrecking yards too, I went back to a tenbolt axle cuz I could find tons of shafts in the wrecking yards 80 -92 blazer, sub, truck etc.If you are going aftermarket from the start, get the d44. if trying to keep it wheeling for free/cheap go ten bolt. if trying to keep wheeling for more than an hour or so then go with a d60:beer:
