A buddy got a killer deal on a set of axles from a 99 ford f250 , was told that there a dana 50 front and a 10 1/2 rear. Now are these anygood for building and putting under a 4runner? what kind of lockers do they make? will they hold up to a built 350 and 465 tranny ? I'm asking because this buddy drives with a heavy foot. he's always breaking on the trail.

The Dana 50 centers are junk, they look like a 60 but use 44 size crap.

The inner/outer knuckles, one piece unit bearing and stub shafts are just fine to use as is...I ought to know, I've been running them for 5+ years and have beat the **** out of them.

What kind of "smoking deal" would he be willing to pass on? A D50 would be a good fit for the front of my tow rig if the price was right as I would like to make is a 4x4 but $$ for a D60 is out of the question. Probably take the Sterling as well for a matched set.
