I am having constant problems with inner axle seals leaking. I am planning to buy some of the "seals-it" inner seals. I have two questions:

1. I dont have my front end apart currently. Can someone confirm the id of dana 60 axle tubes where the inner axle seals. I have researched and found that it should be 3.125" tube with .500" wall. Can someone say this is right??

2. Has anyone run these seals and what is your opinon on them? $150 for inner seals seems really expensive but be fine with me if it stops the leaking and last.

Link to the seals if anyone wants to know what I am looking at

Seals-it part# EA2-5 are u near Jacksonville AL got 2 sitting hear I'm not using. Which one are you using the spicer brand or the national brand huge difference. The nationals don't have the lip that guides the axle into place pure junk they should not even sell that seal I'm actually putting a set in right now spicer part # 36487

If you would quit being so rough on it breaking shafts all the time they wouldn't be leaking so much :****: :afro:

My .02 spicer seals are all you need 150 for a seal or even a pair of seals is dumb!

National seals are what I have been using. Havent tried any of the spicer seals mainly because they looked like basically the same seal. I could give that a try just looking for a good fix because they are such a pita to put in. Thanks for the info.

You dont need diff fluid. :flipoff1:

Front ends leaking is normal :afro:. That way ya ain't gotta worry bout it till it stops! :dblthumb:

Use Ford part number D8TZ-3254-A! Best ones I've found, and usually cheaper than any others. Should be around $15.00 each at the local Ford dealership.

These will fit a GM axle? I will keep it in mind. Have some on the way to try this time.

Here is pics and part# for the new style (have no idea how long they have been out) spicer seal. Look pretty nice not as easy to destroy upon install as old style seals.
