Lost the bolts out of knuckles so now I don't know what to get to fit in there?

I have high steering and limits on the ram but I don't want all that force on the kingpins

anyone know what size bolt it is and what thread?
I remember my wife took one to Fastenal to get some high strength replacements - I thought they said that it was a super fine thread and not just a standard fine thread???

you lost me. if the knuckle limits with a bolt and a ram is still pulling on it, it should rip the knuckle in half. if the knuckle doesn't ahve any stops holding it back and the ram limits to bottom before the joints bind, why is it bad having that as your stop?

Maybe to keep the axle joint from binding?? :dunno:
I think its a 3/8-24.

I want the steering ram and knuckle to bottom out at the same time

what if your hiems break, ram bends etc???

I want as little force going thru the kingpin as possible - I've never been a fan of High steer but it was necessary to fit a ram on this narrow of an axle. I don't like the moment that it produces on the knuckle.

I tried getting hi steer arms that lined up with the factory low steer so I could tie them together but on a quick schedule and low budget I just sucked it up and got something.

I'll try a 3/8 and 7/16 tonight hopefull but for some reason I seem to remember Fastenal saying it was not a normal thread pitch or something. Who knows, they typically don't know what thier talking about.

Bolts to hold on crossover steering arms?? some are 1/2 inch fine thread and some are 9/16 fine thread. If it is the small bolts that hols on the spindle they are 1/2 inch fine thread. Our knuckles and ram dont always hit at the same time and I have never broke anything on 7 rigs running the XRRA and weroc, I have broke all 4 bolts in the top of the knuckles before but we now run the new keyed knuckles and steering arms on everything.

Sorry, I guess it was the steering stops you needed, should be 3/8 bolts.

3/8 - fine thread

thanks guys

now I gotta find a hardware store with them in at least grade 8
