Dana 70 questions

If you have a 6 lug Dana 70 and an 8 lug dana 70, will the hubs interswap? So you can make the 6 lug an 8 lug??

I don't know. This is some axle Porter picked up and wanted me to post this question for him. I guess he got an 8 lug too. I told him to pull one side off of each and see if the hubs are the same. I would think they are...

Survey says they are the same and if that is the case isn't 14 bolt the same as well?

Doesn't really answer your question, but this says the 6 luggers were from the big military jeep trucks. Just pull a hub and see if it fits on the 6 lug. The 6 lug shaft is gonna suck though having only 23 splines.
