this is in the rear of my tj. with the stock pinion level ,my manual says that it takes around 2 quarts which is about right.
now that i have a raised skid with jb coversion super short kit and re 3.5 springs my pinion angle has raised to 21.5 degrees. i have bought a new cover for the dana 44 which has a higher fill hole, since the stock one was to low for ever 2 quarts.
the question is do i still just use 2 guarts of oil or do i have to add more because of the new pinion angle,or how much should i use.

it will hold more that 2 quarts before it spill out. i have around 2 and 1/2 quarts in right now and need to now if that is two much. i have one of the rockcrushers diff covers.

It is okay to have "too much" in there. I always fill mine to whatever level it is when it starts to ooze out of the fill plug.

don't need to park going down hill , i could get 3 quarts in there easy. just didn't know if it would hurt anything to have to much.
