Daytime running lights

I have an 01 Ford Expedition with the daytime running lights and I hate them! Is there anyway to turn them off? or disable them? The fuse that runs the drl also runs some other things so I can't pull that...

A guy on thedieselstop asked the same Q but then found out his insurance would go up by $100 if he got rid of them. Apparently it makes a difference in accident rates...being a stealthy stocker apparently blows that advantage out of the water though
