alright this **** is really starting to piss me off. i have a 95 cherokee, when it was stock it did it ince then i lifted it and it was fine for a while but now it has been doing it again a lot, i will be driving along and all of a sudden if i hit a bump or something it just goes into this crazy wobble and i have to come to almost a complete stop befor it goes back to normal.... so yeah i dont know what the **** it is....

anything helps

thanks

i had it last weekend and it turned out to be my trackbar bushing. is everything tight like you trackbar, control arms?

Like xjoffroad said its probably the track bar bushing, are still running a stock track bar or a aftermarket one?

Also, what do you have for a lift and steering? If your draglink and track bar arn't parralell it will have death wobble.

yeah.... what paulie said

i will look at all that **** in the morning

thanks guys

Also check your caster angle. If you put an angle finder on the top of the(mind blank) c thingy that the ball joints are in, you should have 7* negative caster. Your lower links are longer than your upper links which makes the axle rotate when you lift it. If your caster is off the wheels will fight each other creating the "death wobble". Even if you had it profesionally aligned I would check this. Modern alignment machines are just lazers making the wheels true. Its hard to find a shop with an old timer who actually looks for these things. The shop that alligned my zj did not do this When I asked about it I was told its not adjustable. BS the lower link Bolts have an accentric washer so when you rotate the bolt it spins a cam that sets your caster. Sorry for the long reply I've just been there before.

I had it happen on my 93 grand cherokee. I replaced everything numerous times. Track bars, ball joints, tie rods, wheels and tires, pitman arms, control arms, had the caster checked and numerous shops. It did it stock and lifted. If any of those still turn out to not be it, mine just happened to be the driver side axle shaft u-joint. But I guess that's pretty rare.
