Cant wait to get home tomorrow and link them up and walk around the neighborhood with my helmet on trying them out with the wife. :drinkers: They are currently charging.

I tell ya there is no middle market out there on radios.

Its either cheap (i.e. junk) or it is re-damn-diculous high price.

I tried the Motorola two-ways with the headset and the program set to handfree ($100-150ish). Couldnt hear anything over the static, forget about getting in a buggy and hauling balls.
The pluses you could have multiple units, and the range is like 10 miles or something stupid.

The Blueant system is slightly more than the Motorola option ($250) is clear as a bell, has noise cancellation, and has volume escalation. So as the background gets louder (motor) the ear speaker raises in volume to compensate.
The minuses, you can only have two units linked up, and you are limited to 475-490 feet( I've heard that is on flat ground with no obstructions.)

So it should be a good driver to spotter/co-driver radio. If I make KOH I'll run this for incar, and just carry grab a couple Sat Phones from work for calling support.

The race radios like you would see in Nascar or a Baja truck, THOUSANDS of dollars!

Thats gonna work OX-UM.... *when you still havent even finished wiring your damn buggy.... *

You need wi-fi engine management and guages so you dont have a birdnest of wiring when a driveline lets go ! laughing1

All I was lacking is my guages, and the new ones came in yesterday. I thought I could reuse mine, but turns out when the bezels came off, well the bezels wheren't the removeable type if you know what I mean.

And if they made wi-fi or just wireless sending unit to guage, I'd be all over that. Surprised that hasn't happened.

Curious how this works for you. I want a comm. system for when I ride with a friend or if I ever go 2up.
so ronalds sister told you she likes to talk when you guys go on long rides :flipoff1:

Yeah Kelly's going to drive a heat. I offered it to him in Bama and he pussed out.

But yeah ditching the bitch. No reason to haul 250lbs of man ass around if ya dont have too.

Gray Rock was more of a mental thing. Niether of us were sure what to expect. I wasnt sure I'd "GET IT" when I had too. So yeah gHey or not, I needed Kelly to hold my hand. Turns out, I stepped up.

Artsy, shakey pic.

Blueants work awesome. Took a little bit to figure out the procedure for sync'ing them up together. but now got that down.

490ft is pushing it unless you are talking flat wide open area. I'd say more like 300, as well as you pretty much need line of site at those distances. I didnt make it 100ft with a wall in between.

But 300ft in the open is still pretty awesome for as clear as they are.

I got both helmets setup, and 50% with my skater helmet. Need to mount some clear polycarb on one side so you can mount the speaker near your ear.

Oh and yeah I'm procrastinating buggy wiring. I did it for a few hours today and am wiring brain dead.

That fancy-town right there.

I usually have to throw rocks to communicate.

Then don't dodge this rock, quit posting when you have nothing to add.

I certainly would not dodge a rock from you John especially if it meant that I could learn something....

In fact, I wanted to jump in on the opportunity to mention that I have quite some experience with the motorcycle communcation systems and have used a few different systems on motorcycle riding long and short, but I wanted to see if there was a follow-up on this system.

I find the current system being discussed here to be the best bang for the buck, but have used better and worse. (God, Chatter-Boxes...talk about static fuzz!)

It seems that the main problems people have it the voice activation and clarity around that, but I tend to find that the price range mentioned above is like I said, the most tolerable for the quality one gets....

Although, I respect your comments John.
