SImple and basic...... I dont know if Id say ugly , (trim and lighting was certainly ugly ) but it was ahead of its time style wise I think.

You know those were originally were supposed to be made at the retired airforce base in Selma. GM was involved(Delorean was the engineer at GM that created the GTO) in pending lawsuits with him, so he moved his company to Ireland. Now you know, and knowing is half the battle.
