Design Program

Woodlee uses SolidWorks. Many use BendTechPro. The most widely used is HoldMyBeerHeyDoesThatLookStraight V2.0

Shop floor with tape measure and soap stone or marker. I store all my measurements on legal paper and photos in my head.

The latter version works best fo da po man...and Robbybobby.

Digging this one up....
On bend tech pro, can you place motor, trans, and tcase measurement in the program or have it placed in there to show how it would lay out?
If not is there a program that will....that doesn't cost a fortune

Re:

I just got bendtech a couple weeks ago, but it lomits you to tube work unless you add on the other modules they sell, plate, headers, etc. The way i understand you cant add things like the motor, trans, etc in on bendtech. You would need a full cad program for that, something like solidworks.

Bendtech pro is great though. Very easy to use and takes all the guess work out of bending tube. I like being able to assemble all of the components in pro so that i can see a rendering of the chasis. In the lower versions of bendtech this is not possible. It will tell you how much that chasiss weighs, how much tube. I think it will be an invaluable asset to my projects
