detroit for toy 8in

here's my question, i want to go to a HP in the front of my toy, currently has a low pinion with full detroit and 5.29's, can i just buy a new housing/gears and install kit and reuse the detroit i already have or do they make one for a high pinion, maybe a dumb Q but i am really not sure, so flame away if so be it

is there not a difference in bearing size, I thought that the HP had the V6 size bearings in it? :eeek:

HP is V6 stuff so yes you will have to use V6 sized bearings so unless your current 3rd is a V6 3rd, it will not work.

It has to be a V6 detroit. HP is V6 only.

haha, damn....I tell you what, if I sell either my rock assault rear axle or one of my many spare 22RE's, I will buy it from you. Otherwise, I still got that $500 in cash burning a hole in my pocket....
