Detroit Locker repair?

KINGSNAKE said:
Sounds like he takes a day off each week so I'll call him tomorrow

Thanks for the info

Yeah most any large shop that sells gears and axle parts will have some Detroit rebuil/repair kits. I have heard they are not that cheap to repair and several times people just replace them instead. I have heard that for a front 60 a lock right is a good replacement for a broken detroit and is much cheaper. The NC guys swear by them..

buy a new one unless you can find one that's broke that has your parts

the repair kit does NOT have anything worth using in it its a ripoff :dblthumb:

Thanks Guys maybe I can find some parts to give Chris his stuff back and next time if it happens again I'll go a different way. Maybe I should have left it like it was LOCKED..

shelled the teeth off of a detroit dana 60 clutch gear, got in touch with detroit, they located me a clutch gear through one of their dealers at $142. next time I went with a spool
