Well I finally got some bead locks from Bobby. Took me two days to build them. I did 2 at a time. I was also trying to work at the same time.

I did all the welding but had one of my techs pose for this pic. :redneck:

Nice.:awesomework: How many lbs torque did you go. I go about 25. It takes a few times around to get them all the same.

15ftlbs. is what Bobby had on the instructions. So far no flats. But I think I might have a very slow one on the drivers front.

O.K. so I double checked my notes. I go 20 ft lbs. torque. I have heard 15 to 20+ I know you don't want to go too much. Did you goop em' up with RTV first? It will help prevent slow leaks. If you welded up the original valve stem holes they may be leaking a little, I know a couple of mine were.

Did the bolts make it all the way thru? My first set was a tad shy of making it, but I ran them anyway. I heard a story of a guy running too long of bolts, and he tightened them into the wheel itself. When he went to air up the beadlock, it split his weld due to the load on it already, and blew his kneecap off.

Yep I sealed them with RTV. but the one that is leaking I think is the rim I bent previously. I think tomorrow I'm going to torque that one to 20ftlbs. See if it holds the air better. The other 3 seem to be fine.

looks good. I just realized where your name comes from. so new of a jeep that the stamp punches joop. im a trained observer. :awesomework:
